Abstract :
In order to measure and confirm the conflicting degree of evidence, a new improved representation method of conflicting evidence based on vector measure method is proposed. Firstly, the deficiency of the classical conflicting belief and other representative measurement methods are analyzed. Then, we use the evidence vector ideas, the difference is defined by the variance relation of evidence vector, and compare the angle cosine relation of evidence vector for the similarity between evidence. Finally, the amount of conflicting evidence is evaluated by both the difference and similarity of evidence vector. Numerous examples verify the new method overcome the deficiency of conflicting belief, and can effective measure the conflicting degree of evidence.
