Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a routing method for ball grid array packages in which fingers are placed on the boundary of package substrate. Our proposed method iteratively modify the routing patterns to improve the completion ratio of nets. Though most of routes in the routing patterns are monotonic, a few non-monotonic routes are allowed. In our experiments, good solutions with high completion ratio are effectively obtained.
