Abstract
This paper is devoted to identification and performance analysis of an industrial DVD-video player. First a mathematical model of the optical actuator, based on electro-mechanic physical equations, is given. Then a closed-loop frequency-domain identification procedure, based on frequency curve fitting, is presented. Performance analysis of an existing industrial control scheme is finally provided, by using the usual sensitivity functions.
