Abstract
Virtual organizations offer significant enhancements to enterprisepsilas capabilities for collaboration and have exciting ambitions in e-Enterprise. But current researches pay less attention to how to guarantee reliable operation of e-Enterprises when they evolve dynamically. This paper combines the Semantic Web technology with architecture based modeling approach to semantically describe e-Enterprise model. Component specifications are attached with semantic information. The semantic based e-Enterprise model supports system self-adaptation when services are removed or modified. Patterns are used to describe business component composition and service component composition by which business goal are mapped into Web/Grid services so that e-Enterprise evolution is conducted reliably and effectively.
