  • Abstract
    Cell image segmentation is the base of further medicinal analysis, and the quality of segmentation has a great influence on cell identify and analyzing. Although there are many segmentation algorithms on recent papers, it is difficult to find one that can be applicable to general cases, and the adhesive cell will affect the cell analysis. So this paper developed a cell image segmentation method using wavelet transform and morphology, which makes the best of multi-resolution characteristic to process the specific part of image, and combines morphology operation to resolve segmentation problem of adhesive cell image. Experiment indicates that this method is effective on segmentation of cell image even with adhesive cell.
