Abstract
Kinetic release of Levodopa from Zn/Al-layered double hydroxide host is reported. The levodopa (LD) is an organic guest, is intercalated into the Zn-Al-layered double hydroxide lamella and was synthesized using direct co-precipitation method at pH 7.5 and Zn to Al molar ratio of 4, aged for 18 h at 70 οC. Release study of the levodopa from nanohybrid into various concentrations of sodium carbonate and sodium chloride solutions was studied using uv-visible spectroscopic method.
