Abstract
In this paper, a new strategy is proposed for measuring the cell adhesion force by using a nanofork and a line-patterned substrate. The nanofork has three tines which resembles the appearance of a normal fork. In order to effectively implement the nanofork, a special design substrate, known as line-patterned (LP) substrate, is required. The spaces between the line structures on the substrate provide gaps between the cells and the substrate.
