Abstract :
In this study, the carrier statistics in a carbon nanotube (CNT) with nonparabolic energy spectrum is investigated to predict the ultimate (intrinsic) drift velocity as a function of temperature, concentration, and chirality. The average of the magnitude of the velocity is the intrinsic velocity vi. vi for random motion is the weighted average of v=(1/h)(dE / dk) with weight as the product of the density of states and the Fermi-Dirac distribution function, analogous to the steps delineated in [1] and [2].
