Abstract :
This paper conducts a survey on aircraft dynamic models under atmosphere turbulence conditions, for the study of adaptive turbulence rejection flight control, an open area of research of both theoretical and practical importance. The survey starts from the basic nonlinear dynamic and kinematic equations of aircraft under turbulence disturbances, and then addresses the basic linearized longitudinal and lateral system models, some numerical linear models, and other typical models such as a PSD model, a data-based model and an elastic aircraft model. A representative linear aircraft dynamic model with turbulence disturbances is recommended for adaptive turbulence rejection flight control investigation, based on which some preliminary control designs including pole placement control and model reference control are discussed for their potentials for adaptive turbulence rejection control, for aircraft systems with parameter and turbulence uncertainties.
