Abstract :
Presents a kind of predictive PI controller based on a fuzzy model for large time-delay systems. The controller adopts the control strategy of generalized predictive control (GPC). The control algorithm is simple and easy to implement. The fuzzy model and parameters of the controller are corrected using a steepest descent algorithm. The simulation result shows its better performance than conventional PID controller for plants with large time-delay
