Abstract
The Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (LBL) is building an Advanced Light Source (ALS) to produce synchrotron radiation. An electron linear accelerator and a booster synchrotron are used to accelerate the electron beam to 1.5 GeV to fill the storage ring. The power supplies used for the magnets in the booster and the storage ring are described, as are the interface requirements for computer control and monitoring of the power supplies and magnet currents
