Abstract
The NoC (network-on-chip) systems become promising alternative to traditional bus-based MPSoCs (multi-processor system-on-chip) designs because of their better scalability. One of the major challenges in design of NoC architectures is the choice of the best routing strategy. In this work we propose rapid prototyping methodology, which significantly facilitates evaluation of different routing protocols, with emphasis on adaptive ones, in real message traffic conditions. Thus our prototyping methodology gives more realistic results than model survey. Presented NoC-based HTTP server with different types of routing substantiates our claims.
