Abstract :
This paper deals with fixed-beam planar microstrip antenna arrays that are envisaged for modern communication systems, e.g. as antenna on air-platform of HAP system. In the contribution the general description of analysis and synthesis (Taylor approach) procedures for planar arrays and passive beam forming networks are described. The array concept is based on (2 times 2) and (2 times 4) module sub-arrays. The theoretically predicted sidelobe level was kept below -25 dB, whereas uniform excitation gives only -13 dB.
