Abstract
Instant Messaging market has an intense network externality, which makes the structure of the market different from traditional ones. This paper will get the conclusion that the structure of Chinese Instant Messaging market has an characteristic of oligopoly through constructing a model of Instant Messaging market and calculating the Absolute Concentration Rate and the Herfindal-Hirschman Index. The paper will propose three competition strategies based on the analysis.
