Abstract :
Time and space are two important characters in geographic information systems (GIS). We analyze spatio-temporal and their relation character in GIS, a formal definition of spatio-temporal object and spatio-temporal ontology used on GIS are proposed. The spatio-temporal semantic granularity used on GIS integration is presented, and the issues of GIS integration based on ontology are discussed.
