Abstract :
The World-Wide-Web (WWW) and Internet are being hyped as necessary for all organisations to maintain global competitiveness. Key activities include: global communications, a wealth of interactive free information, the freedom of information, and a shop-window to publicise your organisation. This paper introduces the authors´ use of the WWW´s Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML) to rapidly prototype (RP) a corporate cellular intranet. The concepts of information freedom, new flexible organisation forms with geographically dispersed workers, the Green Area system, and empowered cellular team-working, drive the prototype, and a planned pilot industrial implementation
