            Abstract :
We present an inter-digital capacitive (IDC) device as a biosensor platform for point of care diagnostic applications. The device sensitivity is simulated via finite element methods by varying device geometry and material used for fabrication. Preliminary results show that by appropriate selection of insulation material and scaling the size down to the nanoscale, device sensitivity can be tuned to the requirements of many diagnostic applications. Our IDC device can be a good platform for the point of care application due to its high sensitivity, stability, label free detection and economy due to the use of mass manufacturable CMOS technology.
