Abstract :
Very Low Frequency (VLF)/Low Frequency (LF) communications represent the backbone of the U.S. Navy´s communications from command authorities to strategic forces. This paper covers the historical development of VLF/LF simulation and atmospheric noise characterization to support laboratory tests. Emphasis is placed on the current level of development
