Abstract

The intention of Rich Communication Suite (RCS) initiative in GSMA is to eventually create a convergent multimedia communication service over IMS network. RCS provides a possible platform for the solutions of the FMC services. The benefits of the universal interoperable nature of RCS by MNOs are illustrated in this paper. Such benefits differentiate RCS from the conventional OTT services. In this paper we also try to further illustrate the development trends of RCS with four stages, which could MNOs to determine impact of RCS with the scale of RCS implementation.
