Abstract
In this paper two slot assignment strategies in TDMA MAC protocols for MANET are investigated: continuos (DCSA) and alternate slot (DASA) assignments. After a simple analytic modeling of TDMA systems running DASA or DCSA, simulative results are provided using E-TDMA (Evolutionary TDMA) protocol to validate our analysis. Energy Metrics such as Residual Energy and Energy good put have been evaluated in order to show the benefits and drawback of the investigated strategies.
