Abstract :
Principle of a parallel resonance Q meter in which the measuring capacitor is connected as a three-terminal element to eliminate the effects of the stray capacitances, is introduced. Experimental results with small measuring capacitances (about 100 pF) shows that the stray capacitances about 10 times as much as the measuring capacitance is eliminated. As an application of this Q meter, an LC oscillator is introduced, which generates a digital signal, converting the capacitance to a frequency
