Abstract :
Limitations on the control systems of Space vehicle and reuseable launch vehicle propulsion systems are outlined, and a need for flexibility is identified. To this end, functional requirements of the various control areas-engine sensors, sensor electronics, processor and memory, effector electronics, engine effectors, databases, and power supply-are listed and ways of achieving them are discussed
