Computerized add-on tool for inspection and supervision of hands-on electrical and electronic hardware training

Reducing the time budget of electrical and electronic hardware training in engineering education, computer assistance gets growing importance. However, the way of integrating computer assistance in laboratory work preferably has to avoid decreasing hands-on training time which is based on the use of hardware components and measuring equipment. The paper presents an add-on tool for inspecting and supervising student training activities to yield better understanding what is going on and whether sufficient results are got or not. This add-on tool is compared with other ways of computer assistance of our laboratory.
