Abstract :
by analyzing the use of water resources situation in Guangxi Power Grid, many deficiencies of the hydropower resources in Guangxi are existed, such as rich but with low development, big gap between peak and valley of power load, the inadequate capacity of power peak modulation, weak power network structure and uneven distribution of power, disorderly development of small hydropower, unreasonable distribution of hydropower station, and so on. Based on comprehending advanced domestic and international water management methods and technical measures and combining with the actual water resources situation in Guangxi Power Grid, it´s suggested to improve utilization of water resources in Guangxi Power Grid by several technical measures and integrated management, including reinforcement of the hydro meteorological forecasting accuracy, adapting cascade optimal operation and compensation operation in cross river basins, dynamic control limited flood water level in hydropower station Yantan, the joint flood gates peak-shaving between Yantan and Dahua, sale-promotion power price with low load valley during flood season, water-saving operation method, standardized operation and management of small hydropower, construction of pumped-storage hydropower. All of the measures will provide technical support for energy conservation and economic dispatching of the Guangxi Power Grid.
