Abstract :
This paper applies the pole assignment adaptive control algorithm to arc furnace electrode regulator system in order to improve the conventional arc furnace PID electrode regulator system. The simulation results show that adaptive control system has more advantages than the conventional PID either in dynamic characteristics or in resisting the arc length disturbance
