Abstract
The reliability of the GMPLS control plane is discussed in the paper. The protection of signaling link can improve significantly reliability level of the control plane and therefore overall GMPLS reliability. The signaling tunnel in the control plane can be implemented with the use of MPLS technology. This approach has been implemented in the simulation environment and verified. The results confirm efficiency of that solution.
