Abstract :
The impact of mobile communication on the quality of life in developing countries is more significant than in mature markets. The combination of particular socio-economic conditions and underdeveloped infrastructure creates new opportunities for mobile service innovation that are significantly different from those in developed countries. The objective of this paper is to discuss and analyse the growth in mobile service innovation and to highlight and examine the new and important role of SDP in the process of introducing new services and business models in emerging markets.
