Abstract :
In this paper, the reduction of inter-process communication in the distributed traffic simulation is described. The reduction is based on transfer of vehicle density information instead of particular vehicles. Moreover, the learning of periodical behavior of the vehicle density is exploited for additional communication savings. This behavior is typical for the traffic lanes with traffic lights.
