Abstract :
In this paper, we develop a fluid-flow model of TCP Veno with RED queue management, and use this model to analyze its equilibrium state stability and throughput. On the stability side, our model reveals the relationship between Veno AIMD parameters and system stability region. On the throughput side, our model derives a closed-form throughput formula for bulk transfer TCP Veno flow. We found that, it is possible to vary Veno AIMD parameters to get higher throughput, but more throughput enhancement by TCP Veno will cause more oscillation in the router queue. The simulation results validated our analysis.
