  • Abstract
    With the rapid development of computer science and communication technologies, doctors will employ electronic communication to facilitate patient care more and more. We have developed a multimedia telemedicine system which is much more flexible, robust and easier to use. In this paper we compare our system with the traditional telemedicine systems, present the architecture of our system and analyze the design of the essential modules. In our system, we use electronic medical record to facilitate doctors. The system running over broadband Internet will offer dynamic transmission for audio and video and provide processing for medical image. In the end we talk about the perspective of the system.
