Abstract :
Some DC-DC converters for a household fuel cell (FC) system require high boost ratio. In general, FC hates the output current ripple. The purpose of this paper is to develop a high boost ratio DC-DC converter with coupled-inductors. The proposed converter can boost the output voltage of FC to 10 times higher voltage when the duty ratio is 0.5 and decrease the input current ripple in order to lead to the longer life-cycle of FC. To protect the switching devices from surge voltage, a clamp circuit was adopted. This paper verified that the proposed converter has high boost ratio with low input current ripple by simulation and experiment.
