Abstract :
In this paper, the principle of reactive power regulation and nonlinear harmonic elimination of generalized active power filters (GAFs) are studied in detail, and the influence yielded by nonlinear harmonics is especially taken into account. Finally, the validity of theoretical analysis is proved by computer simulation and 100 kVAr experimental results. The study shows that GAF has the prospect of generalized applications.
