IEEE/IAS - ANSI - and the IEC

The official United States interface with the IEC is the United States National Committee to the IEC (USNC), a committee of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This interface is discussed, its structure, a brief description of Technical Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups, and how IAS involvement is appropriate, productive, and should be implemented and staffed are also covered. The USNC has expressed its awareness of the need and benefit of increased user input.
