Abstract
To expand the range of applications for fiber-optic distributed temperature sensors based on Raman scattering, an optical fiber and measuring device capable of measuring temperatures in high temperature environments were produced, making it possible to measure temperature distributions at temperatures of up to 500°C. This sensor is used in a steel works to measure the temperature of the steel shell of a hot stove and to detect potential molten steel leaks in the continuous casting tundish
