  • Abstract
Technology of asphalt pavement aggregate washed by cycle limewater was put forward for the first time in this paper. Before and after the aggregate was washed by cycle limewater, aggregate mud content, aggregate asphalt adhesion and asphalt mixture water stability were tested. Test results showed that the aggregate mud content was reduced, and that the aggregate asphalt adhesion and the asphalt mixture water stability were all enhanced. At the same time, asphalt pavement construction energy consumption and CO2, SO2 gas emissions were all reduced by this technology. Therefore, the technology of asphalt pavement aggregate washed by cycle limewater was conducive to environmental protection and sustainable development.
