Abstract :
Based on the study of FIR filter design, a new method of designing frequency sampling filter is presented in this paper. By applying particle swarm optimization (PSO) to optimize transition sample values, the maximum stop band attenuation in FIR filter is obtained. The simulations of designing low-pass FIR have been done and the simulation results show that the method of FIR filter design proposed in this paper is better than the method of genetic algorithm (GA) and immune algorithm (IA) not only in the convergence speed but also in the performance of filter.
