  • Abstract
    The paper presents the green methodologies and technologies of switched reluctance drive in the aspect, such as the design, the control strategy and the applications. The three indexes of green design, i.e. the systematical efficiency of the drive, the per unit effective volume output of the machine and the cost of the drive, are given. A green variable speed control strategy with the high systematical efficiency of the drive operated in the high rotor speed range and the low acoustic noise of the machine operated in the low rotor speed range is advanced based on the three common variable speed control strategies. The green applications of the wind power generator system and the electric vehicle drive contributing to preserve the environment are introduced
