  • Abstract
    The safety assessment of thermal control system is an essential component of safety evaluation of the whole thermal power plant. The index system for safety assessment was constructed, and methods of deciding initial weights for each factor of the index system were presented. In order to strengthen the influence resulted from small faults factors on the overall safety evaluation a variable weight method was proposed. A method of fuzzy pattern recognition was employed to assess the safety of thermal control system. The analyses of instances show that the assessment method is feasible and effective.
