Abstract :
When regenerative braking electric locomotives are working at the inversion process, there will occur high over-voltage if the failure of regenerative braking happens. It will influence the insulation and the safety of the electric locomotives. According to the magnetization curve and mathematic equation, the dynamic simulation model of SS7 electric locomotives is established. The result shows that the over-voltage has relation with the velocity. And the over-voltage will damage the insulation of the locomotive and the contact line.
