Abstract :
The author presents a new concept for solving the classical problem of designing an optimum lossless equalizer network for broad band matching of an arbitrary complex load to a complex impedance source, with special emphasis on load as numerical data. The application of Wiener-Lee transforms results in a very simple design algorithm. A new optimization index that does not require iteration and hence no initial guess for element values of the equalizer is presented. The approach is illustrated with an example
