Abstract :
Geometric model for discharge from a tank is presented, and after meshing, setting initial conditions and boundary conditions, the discharge process is simulated and the mass flow rate, pressure and temperature during discharge are obtained. Through comparing the results of numerical simulation and experiment for pressure and temperature curves, it can be found they are approximate, which shows that the simulation results are very reliable. With simulation results, the flow rate characteristics which are virtually measured are close to that of ISO6358, and the relative errors of sonic conductance and critical pressure ratio are about 1% and 3%, respectively. This method is energy-saving and has a broad prospect in application.
