Abstract :
It´s of vital importance to study on the synergistic removal function of wet flue gas desulphurization (WFGD) technologies in coal-fired power plants and take a comprehensive evaluation on their environmental benefits. By comparing and analyzing the dust and heavy metals before-and-after desulphurization devices of coal-fired power plants in Shanghai, we have found that 1) The synergistic removal function of dust depends on the dust concentration at the entrance of desulphurization devices. 2) Desulfurization devices do have some effects on removing heavy metals. 3) The particles arranged densely at the entrance of desulphurization devices are usually of spherical shapes and uniform sizes that under micron level. While those at the exit of desulfurization devices have variable size distribution and some of them appear agglomerated. 4) The gypsum rain is strongly acid and has a great impact on the environment around because of serious corrosion.
