Abstract :
Hydrogen production based on chemical looping combustion can obtain clean hydrogen with near zero emission of carbon dioxide. This technique can be auto-thermal, making it very promising for hydrogen production. In this paper, the interconnected fluidized beds were established for cold model study, and tests were carried out, aiming at providing some design information for the hot bench. Experiments were mainly performed to reveal the effects of gas velocity of the three reactors (gasification reactor, fuel reactor and air reactor) on the pressure distribution of the system. The results indicated that the gas velocity of the fuel reactor and air reactor exhibited similar effects on the system pressure, but the gas velocity of the gasification reactor displayed an opposite effect.
