Abstract :
Laser frequency combs based on modelocked femtosecond lasers have enabled a simple means for performing absolute optical frequency measurements and inter-comparisons. In conclusion, using the demonstrated techniques it should be possible to perform measurements and comparisons of optical standards from 300 nm (frequency doubled 600 nm light) to 1200 nm (fundamental light).
