Abstract
Robotic software platforms are being widely used as a solid base for developing research and education robots. To facilitate study and help in managing the complexity of controlling and handling hardware components. Several homemade and standardized robotic middleware platforms were proposed, to provide abstract software layers. This paper provides an overview of a novel middleware system specific for the Arduino microcontroller based robot, using a multi agent approach. Which provides autonomy, peer-to-peer communication protocols and, a rich base for integrating specific intelligent behaviors.
