Abstract :
The influence of SG modification on as-cast and heat-treated microstructures of high manganese steel was investigated. The results show that SG modification can refine austenite grain and intergranular carbides, reduce the quantity of pearlite of as-cast microstructures. For heat-treated microstructures, SG modification can shorten holding time or lower holding temperature of water-quenched treatment. The roles of SG modification have especially practical significance to high-carbon or alloyed-type high manganese steel.
