Abstract :
The Building Maintenance Regulation deals with monitoring the concentrations of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), and dust. Besides these noxious gases, the detection of flammable gases such as town gas, liquefied petroleum gas, and gasoline is required for our safety. To meet these requirements, we have developed four gas sensors with excellent long-term stability and durability. These are: hydrocarbon catalytic combustion gas sensor; O2 thin film sensor; CO catalytic combustion sensor; and CO2 solid state electrolyte sensor. Because of their excellent gas-selectivity, long-term stability and durability, the four sensors described are widely applied to air environment assessment of living, working and office spaces
