Abstract :
Overseas investment in hydropower enterprises has been quickly increased with a rush, taking an important position in foreign direct investment for China. The Chinese investments in hydropower enterprises are mainly focused on Asian, African, and South American markets, especially typical of a relatively large market in Africa. The undertaking of overseas hydropower projects in the way of BOT in overseas hydropower investment have been more and more welcomed by hoar countries and particularly by developing countries. While the investment in BOT hydropower projects is generally large, certain risk exists at the same time. On this account, this article has analyzed the risk degrees for one of the African regional hydropower projects through fuzzy comprehensive analytic method. The analysis of instance shows the result concluded through this method is objective and reasonable, which can be widely applied to BOT hydropower projects in African.
