Abstract :
Time-domain and frequency-domain Talbot phenomena in optical fibers can be exploited for several signal processing applications, including pulse repetition-rate multiplication, microwave frequency upshifting and free-spectral-range tuning of frequency combs. The fundaments and applications of these phenomena are reviewed.
