Abstract :
This paper considers the low order Hinfin controller design method for reference tracking and disturbance attenuation based on the recent development on robust control in terms of the generalized KYP (GKYP) lemma. The new design control strategy does not need to choose the weighting functions as the classical design method does so that the controller will have the same order as the controlled plant, which is much lower than the one designed by the classical Hinfin control method. The proposed method is further applied to the air path system of diesel engines with a turbocharger. Simulations are shown to demonstrate the advantages of the new algorithm.
